Island Dreamer Sailing

Island Dreamer is a 41’ Morgan Out Island sloop with a center cockpit that is shaded by a large Bimini top and dodger. The interior was recently refit, giving it a clean, spacious feel. Island Dreamer has two staterooms, two heads with hot-water showers, a galley with refrigerator and freezer, and a large settee area in the main salon.  The settee can be converted into a bed for two when there are additional guests.

On Island Dreamer we use a roller furling 135% Genoa and a mainsail with lazy jacks. Most of our electrical power is provided by the five solar panels mounted on the stern arch. The engine and all the other systems are easy to access, so teaching about  maintaining a cruising boat is easy.

Guests are are taken to shore-side attractions in our dinghy, which is equipped with an outboard engine. When coming back aboard, especially after swimming or diving, guests can use the outdoor deck shower for a quick rinse. For those who wish to fish, we have some fishing gear on board that you can use. There is no need to purchase a fishing license since our guests are covered under our own Florida fishing license. Be aware that Captain Harold will be thrilled to teach you how to catch and cook Florida lobster when they are in season.

When we are at anchor, you may enjoy looking at the stars, drinking a cocktail and engaging in friendly conversation.  However, we can also take the dinghy to shore to one of the many island restaurants in the Keys, where there is plenty of excellent, live music. We do have a stereo and DVD player, so you probably will want to bring your favorite CD's and DVD's with you. Your Ipod can be hooked into our stereo as well.

Morning Dance is a 41’ Morgan Out Island ketch, rigged for cruising.  She has a spacious interior with 2 comfortable cabins, both equipped with their own heads and showers.  4 solar panels provide power when at anchor, with fans throughout.

Kermit is a 20’ Balboa sloop-rigged keelboat. Small enough that novice sailors will be able to “feel” the wind,  she is easy to sail and large enough to be comfortable. Equipped with a swing keel, she can be sailed in very shallow water. A 10 HP outboard engine provides the auxiliary power.
